Community investment committee
The community investment committee’s role is to approve and monitor the group’s CR policy and action plan and report progress to the board. Please see document below for governance.
Meeting at least six monthly, it consists of executive and non executive PLC directors and ELT members, CR representatives and employee representatives. The community investment committees' principal duties are to:
- monitor and review compliance with the board’s charitable donations and corporate responsibility policy
- make recommendations to the board on the strategic direction of community donations and corporate responsibility strategy
- review from time to time, all PLC board approved specific giving where the aggregate financial contribution from UU exceeds £110k over the period of the proposed funding and all community giving expenditure annually
- undertake any review or take any other action that it considers appropriate in the discharge of its duties.
