Our Champions - recognising our people

We recognise the importance of having a work-life balance and, as a result, have developed a range of initiatives that go beyond our legal obligations as an employer. These include our policies on maternity, paternity, adoption, family, personal and special leave. We also offer flexible working, career breaks, part-time working, job-share and home working.

This is in addition to the core benefits which we offer employees including holidays, pension schemes, health checks and family friendly benefits. More than 90 per cent of our employees are members of our pension scheme and have the option to put in extra funds to increase their retirement income via our additional voluntary contribution facility.

Our flexible benefits scheme, which includes benefits such as childcare vouchers, bikes for work, buying and selling holidays for cash and dental insurance, has also been extended this year to all our employees across the business. Our employees can choose to receive the benefits they want from a selection on offer in return for an adjustment to their salary.

In April this year we also introduced a new company-wide scheme called ‘Our Champions’ which recognises and celebrates exceptional performance by individuals and teams.
