Core competencies and talent

To become a world class company we must attract, develop and retain the best people. To help us do this we are currently identifying the skills, capabilities and numbers of people we need for future success and how this differs from what we have today. We then intend to focus our efforts on cultivating our own internal talent and attracting talent from the external market to bridge any gaps we may have.

To help attract external talent we will be raising our profile in the external marketplace and our recruitment strategy will concentrate on building strategic partnerships with academic and professional institutions who match our capability requirements.

To nurture our internal talent, we are also developing a UU Academy - a virtual one stop shop which will provide training and development in the areas of leadership, technical and core skills. Where possible, we will also look to achieve external accreditation for our training.
