Our joint venture, 4D, is helping Southern Water deliver its capital investment programme in an environmentally-friendly manner.
The supply chain team in 4D is working with suppliers to support their acheivement of certified environmental management systems. In addition they are encouraging the use of sustainable products and processes.
A parallel project is to maximise the tax savings on offer through enhanced capital allowances (ECAs) which are available when purchasing energy and water efficient technologies. The additional tax incentive helps to offset the initial, often higher, purchase cost of energy efficient products.
In conjunction with Southern Water’s partners and suppliers, 4D has created a new system which simplifies the collection of the information required to claim the allowances. Each 4D design office now has an ECA design champion to operate this new system.
