Our education team offers a climate change/sustainable energy programme to schools and is also running an innovative programme of electricity training where students learn about the potential to reduce carbon dioxide emissions via wind and solar power and energy conservation.
The climate change/sustainable energy programme has been developed between ourselves and Create, the energy education charity. Children from seven to 11 make their own kites, fly them on a nature reserve and get to be weather presenters on camera during the course of the one-day programme.
The programme helps pupils understand how they can reduce the impact of climate change on the environment and it can assist schools in achieving and maintaining the ECO schools Green Flag award.
